The ports identified by KYND are filtered. Are they still a risk?

Depending on what layer the port has been restricted, KYND may report a port as being open,
where in actuality it is filtered.

Port filtering through a firewall can be considered secure where traffic to the port is limited to only
authorised users, managed VPN range, or specific MAC addresses. We would not consider broad filtering to be secure, such as designating a publicly accessible IP address range.

We advise you to only provide access to ports on an allow-list / necessity basis, where all other traffic is rejected.
