My honeypot port has been flagged by KYND.
A honeypot is used to intentionally attract potential bad actors, so that those monitoring the client’s network and infrastructure can see how they may fall victim to a potential attack and make any necessary cybersecurity improvements.
KYND may flag out of date software and open ports that you're using as bait to attract potential attackers. KYND will not be able to tell if an open port is a honeypot, as our scans are external .
If you received a SIGNALS report from a partner, then you'll need to confirm the port is being used as a honeypot, and KYND can confirm to the partner that this is a legitimate practice.
